C.U.S.P. applied to the Postcode Lottery for funding earlier this year and successfully won £2000 to pay for an Outreach project. Ric and the crew from Exist spent a week at Blaen y Maes community centre with a portable skatepark and all the equipment for everyone to get on skateboards and scooters and give it a go. Today a film crew from the Postcode Lottery came to Exist to talk to Kate, Ric and Rob about how the money was spent and the positive experiences that C.U.S.P. provided the children at the centre. Television royalty Fiona Phillips interviewed Kate and the boys and was very impressed with what we are doing at the skatepark and in the community although she couldn’t be persuaded to put some pads on and get on the mini ramp. Maybe next time, in the meantime lookout for the interview in the near future and thanks again for all your continued support! Thanks to the Postcode Lottery for believing in what we are doing here at C.U.S.P. and providing much needed funding for our ambitious community projects.
The girls session at Exist has moved from the last Tuesday of each month to the first Saturday of every month. Exist started the monthly girls session in May 2014 and it has been monthly on a Tuesday evening up until now. The first Saturday evening instantly proved the move from Tuesday was a great idea and we are sticking with it. Thanks to all the girls who showed up for the new slot, it was awesome!! The next session is on Saturday 4th November at 5pm. It’s free entry so see you there!!!
